Responsibilities
- ✓Prepare and submit accurate corporate, payroll, VAT/GST, and other tax returns within required deadlines.
- ✓Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and legislation.
- ✓Review financial records, transactions, and accounting documents for tax accuracy.
- ✓Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax provisions and reconciliations.
- ✓Assist with tax planning strategies and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
- ✓Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies when required.
- ✓Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
- ✓Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes relating to tax matters.
- ✓Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit purposes.
- ✓Assist in responding to tax queries, audits, and investigations.
- ✓Collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- ✓Provide guidance to management on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
- Professional qualification or part qualification advantageous (e.g. CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, SAIPA, CTA).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a tax accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of tax legislation, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with accounting and tax software systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
