Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a dynamic UK-based client through BO-SMART. This role is suited to a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in tax compliance, international tax, and advisory, who can operate independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

✓Manage and oversee tax compliance processes, including preparation and review of tax returns
✓Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations and deadlines
✓Provide tax planning and advisory services to support business decision-making
✓Advise on cross-border transactions and repatriation of funds, including dividends, royalties, and intercompany payments
✓Ensure tax-efficient structuring of repatriation flows in line with applicable regulations and treaties
✓Liaise with internal stakeholders and external authorities where required
✓Review financial records, identify tax risks, and recommend solutions
✓Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure implementation
✓Support audits and respond to tax-related queries

Required Skills

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a tax accounting role (senior level)
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations (essential)
Proven experience with international tax and repatriation structures
Understanding of double taxation agreements (DTAs) and withholding taxes
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, SAICA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote setup
Excellent communication skills
