A client of BO-SMART is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in a fully remote capacity.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong UK financial knowledge, particularly in VAT and expat tax, who is comfortable working with international clients.

Responsibilities

✓Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of UK clients
✓Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK regulations
✓Support expat tax-related bookkeeping requirements
✓Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate records
✓Liaise with clients and provide ongoing financial support

Required Skills

Minimum 5 years’ experience working with UK-based clients
Solid experience in UK VAT and expatriate tax
Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
Proven experience in a senior bookkeeping role
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients/accounts
Excellent communication skills
Experience working with accounting software
Technical Requirements: Fully set up for remote work
Reliable high-speed internet connection: Comfortable using cloud-based accounting systems
