Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients across various sectors
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and contractual changes
- Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), holiday pay, and pension contributions
- Submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC and ensure compliance with PAYE/NIC regulations
- Prepare and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s, and other payroll documentation
- Respond to payroll-related queries from clients and internal colleagues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist the Payroll Manager with reporting, compliance tasks, and ad hoc projects
- Support auto-enrolment and pension scheme administration
- Contribute to year-end payroll processes and ensure all deadlines are met
- Perform general administrative duties

Required Skills
- 1–2 years’ experience in a payroll bureau or multi-client payroll environment
- nowledge of statutory and legislative regulations
- Experience in using payroll software (e.g., BrightPay) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
