Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing, production or supply chain environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and financial reporting, providing meaningful financial insights to support operational and strategic business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with a sound understanding of production costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) variances, material and liquor variances, financial controls and supply chain analysis.

Experience with SAP is essential.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related qualification.
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in accounting, management accounting or financial analysis.
Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG or supply chain environment.
Strong knowledge of management accounting principles.
Practical experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost accounting.
Experience analysing BOM, material and production variances.
Strong understanding of internal controls and financial governance.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Hands-on SAP experience is essential.

Responsibilities

Management Accounting & Financial Reporting
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Perform financial analysis and provide insights into business performance.
Account for subsidiary companies and ensure accurate financial records.
Assist with the preparation and analysis of annual financial statements.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Identify financial trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist with the preparation and management of annual budgets.
Perform regular forecasting and variance analysis.
Monitor actual expenditure against budget and investigate discrepancies.
Provide financial information to support operational and strategic planning.

Required Skills
