Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and commercially minded Client Revenue Specialist to join a growing cybersecurity and technology business.

The Client Revenue Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end client revenue and billing process, ensuring that services are billed accurately, revenue is properly tracked, client accounts are reconciled and billing issues are resolved efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and data, but who is also comfortable communicating with clients and collaborating with internal teams.

You will work closely with Finance, Sales, Client Success, Operations and technical teams to ensure that client contracts, services, pricing and billing information are accurately reflected in the company's financial systems.

Responsibilities

Client Billing & Revenue Management
Manage the end-to-end client billing process for cybersecurity and technology services.
Prepare and issue accurate and timely client invoices.
Manage recurring, monthly, project-based, usage-based and ad-hoc billing.
Review contracts, pricing agreements, purchase orders and service information before invoicing.
Ensure billing accurately reflects the services delivered and agreed commercial terms.
Monitor billing schedules and ensure invoices are generated within required deadlines.
Process billing adjustments, credits and corrections when required.
Maintain accurate client billing records.
Track client revenue and identify discrepancies or unusual billing activity.
Ensure changes to client services, subscriptions or pricing are correctly reflected in billing.
Client Accounts & Reconciliations
Reconcile client accounts, invoices, payments, credits and outstanding balances.
Investigate discrepancies between billing systems, contracts and accounting records.
Monitor outstanding balances and support accounts receivable activities.
Assist with resolving payment and billing queries.
Liaise with clients regarding invoice queries where required.
Escalate overdue accounts and unresolved discrepancies to the appropriate internal team.
Ensure client account information remains accurate and up to date.
Revenue Reporting & Analysis
Maintain accurate revenue and billing reports.
Prepare regular reports on invoicing, revenue, outstanding balances and billing performance.
Analyse billing and revenue data to identify trends, errors and anomalies.
Assist with monthly revenue reporting and month-end processes.
Support forecasting and revenue analysis.
Provide Finance and management with accurate billing and revenue information.
Track recurring revenue and changes in client revenue where applicable.
Assist with identifying revenue leakage and missed billing opportunities.
Contracts & Commercial Administration
Review client agreements and supporting documentation to ensure billing requirements are understood.
Ensure billing aligns with contractual pricing, payment terms and service arrangements.
Maintain records of client pricing, billing cycles and commercial terms.
Identify discrepancies between signed agreements and billing information.
Work with Sales and Client Success teams when changes to client services or contracts affect billing.
Ensure new clients and service changes are accurately captured in relevant systems.
Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate client, billing and financial information across relevant systems.
Work across accounting, CRM, billing and operational platforms.
Ensure data consistency between CRM, billing and accounting systems.
Investigate system or data discrepancies and coordinate corrections.
Assist with improving and streamlining billing workflows.
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
Maintain appropriate documentation and billing procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Finance, Sales, Client Success, Operations and technical teams.
Communicate billing requirements and discrepancies clearly to internal stakeholders.
Support the onboarding of new clients from a billing and revenue perspective.
Ensure Finance is informed of changes that may impact billing or revenue.
Participate in finance and operational projects as required.

Required Skills

2–4+ years' experience in billing, revenue administration, finance operations, accounts receivable, commercial finance or a similar role.
Strong understanding of invoicing, billing processes and account reconciliations.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Experience working with accounting, billing, ERP or CRM systems.
Ability to analyse financial and client data and identify discrepancies.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients, billing cycles and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and investigative ability.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
